Identity card for people registered for population purposes in Sweden
Starting June 1st, the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) will begin accepting applications again from immigrants who are registered as living in Sweden with a personal identity number (personnummer).
You use the ID card to prove who you are, for example when you fetch medicine from the pharmacy, pay with a card in a shop or go to a bank. You can also use the ID card to substantiate your age. [for more info]
