ANZAC Day 2009 ceremony PDF Print E-mail

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

The 94th anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign in the First World War will be commemorated at 11 am on Saturday 25 April 2009, ANZAC Day, at Kviberg Cemetery, Gamlestaden, Göteborg, where there are several New Zealand and Australian war graves. The ceremony will be followed by a reception at the Palm House in the Trädgårdsföreningen in Göteborg.

Following the reception the New Zealand Ambassador will lay a wreath at the grave of Sergeant J.C.Williams, Royal New Zealand Air Force, at the Öckerö Churchyard on Öckerö Island.

New Zealanders and Australians who would like to participate in the commemorations will be most welcome.
