The film is about the New York based performance artist Vanessa Beecroft, who goes to Darfur to make an art project about the mass murders. She meets a pair of twins in an orphanage and becomes obsessed with adopting them. She starts to breastfeed them and they become a part of her art project. Art and life grow together and raise big questions. Is international adoption a kind of colonialism? A complex and exposed portrait of a controversial artist who is driven by a strong passion and constantly pushing the limits.
